Movement and Combat

Your Bloodline’s basic movement is controlled using the W,A,S and D keys. These are used to move your character around the map.

Your abilities are directed by the mouse. All non-automatic abilities are directed towards your mouse pointer, if you or example use a ranged ability, the projectile will travel towards your mouse pointer. There are no random elements in Bloodline Champions, your abilities are only as good as you make them, and will travel to where you aim every time.

Your abilities are mapped by default to the M11, M22, Q, E, R keys and the Spacebar. Most of the bloodlines have the same basic setup with the core abilitie mapped to M1, the secondary to M2, while the escape or fast-travel ability is mapped to the Spacebar.

There is also a "self target" key mapped to the Shift button. By pressing this key and using an ability you automatically target yourself.

1 Left Mouse Button.
2 Right Mouse Button.

Health and Ultimate ability

Your health bar is located in the middle of the screen, above your list of abilities and your Ultimate Ability bar. These two bars can also be found directly above your player character in the game.

The ultimate ability is by default mapped to the F key. As with your other abilities, the ultimate ability is also aimed towards your mouse pointer.

Your health bar is drained as you take damage, and can be filled up again by healing yourself or receiving healing abilities from a healer on your team. By default you can heal yourself using the bloodline medallion. This ability is mapped to the F1 key. You can also revive fallen team members by pressing F2 while near them, but the spell takes a long time to work so make sure there are no enemies around.

World

Bloodline Champions is set in different arenas, all with their unique art style and feel. You can navigate your player around the world using movement controls, and follow yourself and other players on the mini-map at the bottom left of your screen. The mini-map displays all your team members as well as any enemies within visual range. In the game modes Conquest and Capture the Artifact the mini-map also shows you the location of the artifacts and current ownership of the control points.

Maps for conquest and Capture the Artifact are generally bigger than the Arena maps, whereas the Arena maps generally have a central point that will see most of the fight, the larger maps will often present shortcuts to objectives, obstacles and a longer travel routes.

Camera

The camera in Bloodlines Champions is centered around your player and will follow your movements around the map.

There is also a free camera option that will let you move the camera around your player independently, within the visual range of the player. The Free camera moves with your mouse cursor, and your abilities are still aimed towards the cursor.

By default you can toggle between these two camera modes by pressing the Middle Mouse Button (Scroll Wheel).
