Having not yet played the game but watched many trailers and game play videos ther comments on this website bother me. To many people seem to draw a direct parallel between BLC and DoTA. To my mind the game is more akin to a fantasy Unreal Tournament or Quake Live. As the market is now awash with DotA clones is this not a perception that we or the devs should endevour to fix?

Ohhhh. Nice. However that makes me want to play the game even more. And it also lowers my chance of getting picked for beta.

You guys should stop advertising :)

I have to agree with Persus here. The first comment says "another dota game without creeps". That's like saying "another wow clone without pve or levels or items or... elfs".

It's a silly analogy that is wrong and it should be fixed, from what I've seen so far this game doesn't look noob friendly so it'll be lots of stomping!
how did my execute taste?

It's especially silly because DotA was by no means the first in its genre. :x For lack of a better term I still think of all of them as MOBAs, but yeah.

Why do I keep seeing these kinds of comments? Really, even if DotA wasn't first it is the thing that made MOBA's big. If fact, it's what created the whole genre.

I still think DotA shouldn't be defined as a MOBA, It's BLC who is the true MOBA. DotA is a Online Senario RPG = OSR!

I would also agree that DoTA isn't a true MOBA

DoTA might be the game that made the sub genre out of the MoBA games, (see above for my thoughts on this) but it in no way resembles the BLC I have seen in videos. BLC is closer to Team Fortress 2 before they added all the stat boosting items and accessories. The game needs to be realined to sit more correctly in to the bigger picture.

I see the issue being that way too many people are being drawn to this game with the words "MOBA," (never mind that I don't like the term) and they instantly think DotA. It's the most well-known one, and the one they come to expect seeing. Even if the game is radically different, they already went to see this video EXPECTING to see a DotA clone, whether or not it's true. You really can't change their minds, they already had it set before they even hit the play button. That's really another one of my gripes with this term; it makes people think DotA. BLC is definitely not that similar to DotA, and the way advertising is going people expect it to be like it. What else can they do but compare the two?

That was rather off-topic. Good work on getting this trailer posted on Gametrailers.com, it'll be the first of many things to increase hits for BLC. Hype is good for a game like this with an indie game company.

Well, the thing is, BLC is fun in the same way that I liked DotA and LoL, so I can clearly see a resemblance. However, BLC is more or less only the fun part, not the tedious farm, leveling and skilling and item buying and whatnot.

There was a disturbing lack of Inhibitor action in this trailer, obviously bad marketing.

we only saw him standing, moving and dying for a whole 4 seconds, boo!
