Because way too many people got in who were complete ghosts.

Starcraft 2 beta had this happen too. Tons of people signed up with just wow trial and forked grand people with almost every blizzard game on the account (a Nayru) out of keys.

As if my wow account being stolen by cursed chinese wasn't bad enough.

Lol. I see so many baddies playing Starcraft II, and it just pains me. Those are the people who got keys instead of us. I feel betrayed by Blizzard, although I suppose it might be hard for them to tell who's bad. Then again, it's not up to them to give keys to those who deserve it. They're just trying to get keys out to a variety of machines to test performance.

I've signed up for about a dozen and a half beta's in my lifetime, not a single one has accepted me. NONE! They hate me!

Even beta's where everyone got in, like bad company 2! But seriously, just a wow trial? I mean, oy. I want to do something constructive for a game, like beta test or GM or something, but never me. It's always "roflloffle that not how u ply". I hate that guy.

But i was already absorbed into this game by that time so i was like..."OMG!!...meh BLC is 10x better..."

I stopped playing wow many many months before it happened, probably for good. Basically I got tons of spam email and some of it really seemed like it was from blizzard, cursed chinese, and I input -all account details into it-. Realizing 3 seconds after sending it what I had done, I went to login to my account immediately (despite no subscription it would at least tell me I logged in), only to get incorrect password/etc. So it turned out it didn't matter, they somehow brute forced my password off blizzard way before that. And it's not like they sold my account or anything because my character is never active in the armory.

Not too long ago a hacker friend (not anymore) keylogged me and deleted all my phantasy star universe chars I had put about 680 hours into "for kicks" and posted a video of it with my account name/password/personal details including phone number. Traumatic.

Never trust someone who elected to -remain- a hacker, because there's something sick in someone's head who enjoys ripping apart companies' hard work and others' enjoyment. Stupid me.

Why is it weird? does it say anywhere that your chances increase if you signed up before others?

i've sort of grown to hate these kinds of threads.. people who sign up expecting they'll get the key for no other reason than signing up a few months before the cb started.. When it clearly says what requirements they are looking for in a beta tester ._.

Actually, I had already stopped playing wow. It's just that I didn't like the idea of them stealing my progress that would be forever enshrined in blizzard's servers and my old friends who may have remained playing.
